Panel Discussion on virus research with AI - with Prof. Dr. Maya Topf, Prof. Dr. Blanche Schwappach-Pignataro & Prof. Dr. Kay Grünewald
When viruses, bacteria, parasites enter the body, they can transmit or trigger diseases. The body defends itself in many different ways, not always successfully. If you know the strategies of the pathogens, you can influence the disease process, perhaps even stop and cure it.
But who are these pathogens? What does their detailed structure look like? How do they manipulate human cells? How do we study these extremely diverse processes? Can artificial intelligence help us? If so, how? Which tools from the field of artificial intelligence are helpful for this? We would like to discuss these questions with you at this event.
TUESDAY, 20 SEPTEMBER 2022
19:00 - 21:00
Baseler Hof, Gartensaal
Esplanade 15, 20354 Hamburg
The panel discussion is organized by CSSB and the Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Hamburg and will be moderated by scientific journalist Angela Grosse. The panel discussion will take place in German.
